Our statement of inclusion

At Pass Down The Gown, we firmly believe that everyone deserves to feel celebrated and confident, regardless of their background, identity, and socioeconomic status. We are committed to fostering an environment of inclusivity, where all individuals are welcomed, valued, and respected.

We welcome individuals of every race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, and ability to browse our free dresses and rent again and again. We do this by collecting dress donations of various styles, sizes, and functions with the goal to provide as many options as possible. We also prioritize accessibility by offering free shipping and partnering with schools to bring our dresses directly to students.

Our team is a women-led team made up of about 20 high school volunteers, our founder, and 15 junior board members who advise high school students on volunteer work and personal development. We accept volunteers of all gender, race, ethnic, religious, sexuality and class identities. We aspire to be an organization that supports everyone and is operated by a diverse and equitably hired group of student volunteers.

Our mission is to improve the formal event experience and provide as many free dresses as possible. We are dedicated to continuous improvement and welcome feedback on how we can better serve you.

Thank you for being a part of our community.

In service,

Pass Down The Gown team
