A prom closet brings 30-100 dresses directly to schools and youth groups. The students can browse and try on dresses during school, rather than traveling to an event or ordering online. Your sponsorship will help fund dresses, shipping, event supplies, event support, and preparation.

Sponsorship supports 50-100 dresses shipped directly to the school district meaning the students can take dresses for prom there. Helps the school host the prom closet, provides the necessary materials for dress packing, and cleaning & mending.
Yes! When you complete our sponsorship form you are able to request a specific school district. Passing the gown will contact the school and see if they are interested in receiving a sponsored closet. If we do not hear back from the requested school district, your closet may be given to another school district in need so your donation can still support students.
As a sponsor you will receive acknowledgement through the sponsored closet box, branding associated with the closet and pass down the gown social media recognition
Pass Down the Gown has worked with school communities to bring our formalwear directly to students. Some examples are our work in La Crosse, Wisconsin Closet partnering with local high schools to provide free prom dresses though pop-ups. Over 60 dresses were used by students demonstrating the success of a sponsored closet! Another example of a sponsored closet was the Seattle children's hospital, we partnered with them to provide teen patients with over 50 free dresses to create a complete prom experience for them. The event welcomed 35 patients and around 20 additional guests. These examples show how a sponsored closet can be adapted to the needs of individuals or school districts.
